Meet Glenda and Charles! For 24 years, Charles, devoted himself to the flooring industry before retiring as a lift truck operator. In 2022, their journey took an unexpected turn when Glenda was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. As her condition progressed, she became bedridden, requiring 24/7 care. Glenda’s family then faced the heartbreaking reality of navigating her illness while trying to ensure she received the best care possible. Through a grant, the FCIF provided critical support for caregiver sitting services, allowing Glenda to remain at home surrounded by loved ones. Glenda's son-in-law shared, “This foundation was truly a Godsend to us when we needed help the most. A light in a dark situation to help us along the way. Without your help we don't know where we would have ended up or what all may have been lost.”
