“This [grant] is truly a blessing," shared Greg, a recent recipient of a grant from FCIF. Greg has worked in the floor covering industry for 34 years, and is now a shipping manager at a resale flooring store in Chatsworth, GA.
Greg started working at 15 years old hanging gutters before transitioning to the floor covering industry at 21. He has dedicated his entire career to the flooring industry, but life took a difficult turn when he was diagnosed with leukemia in February 2024. The mounting medical bills from doctor visits and hospital stays became overwhelming.
Thanks to a referral from a friend, Greg learned about the Floor Covering Industry Foundation and applied for assistance. The grant he received gave him the opportunity to pay those outstanding bills that had been weighing heavily on him and his wife.
"You just don't understand how much I appreciate your help," Greg shared. "My wife and I have been very stressed. This is truly a blessing."
Thanks to FCIF, Greg has found relief in a time of great difficulty, allowing him to focus on his health and well-being without the constant worry of financial strain.
